My familia was in town for 4 days – July 4th through July 7th.
We started off our July 4th at Woodlawn Lake’s parade, ….

…and ended it downtown at Hemisphere Plaza for fireworks.

The following days consisted of taking them to the San Antonio Zoo, taking them to see a “mad” scientist show, taking them to see the new Spiderman movie and general at home entertaining with BBQ’s and various activities to keep them from annoying each other

Needless to say, by the time it was time to say goodbye – we were all exhausted. They were ready to go home and I was ready to take time for myself. As they pulled away I got dressed and went back to the gym, after not having been since they were in town. When I returned, it was time to clean up after them and wash. Once all of that was done, it literally took me a day and a half to recover. Granted, I was feeling under the weather for a part of that recovery time, but why is it that when you have family visit or you go visit them, you need some recovery time?
It may be the fact that because they’re family and they are either staying with you and/or you’re staying with them, you have to be “on” 24 hrs. Heck, even my dogs spent most of Sunday resting from my nephews constant attention during their visit.

Regardless, I am now back, rested and ready to get back into my regular routine.
