Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post, but the San Antonio Current will provide me a free pair of tickets and a pair of tickets for one of my readers. However, all views and opinions expressed are strictly my own.
Yes San Antonio, you read that correctly! The SnowBall Winter Bash Giveaway is underway for this first-ever event, which by the way, will actually come with snow thanks to the magic of a snow machine. If getting the chance to experience snow in Central Texas is still not enough to get you excited, we’ve also been promised to expect live beats from nationally-recognized DJs, a laser light show, a snow slide and so much more!
All the winter magic will take place on Saturday, December 28, from 8 p.m. – midnight at La Villita’s Maverick Plaza, located at 418 Villita Street. The confirmed star-studded electronic lineup includes unforgettable DJ performances by The Queen of Bounce’s Big Freedia, Neon Indian, Glitoris, DJ Mel, Leonard Trujillo, Extended Play, DJ Pulp & Adam Madrigal. Top that off with ice cold beer, frosty spirits and the best bites in town (available for purchase) and you have the making of an amazing night filled with dancing, snow, mingling with friends – both old and new, and a great way to kick off our goodbyes to 2013.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, with concessions for purchase, ages 18+. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $50 and include swag bags, food and complimentary cocktails as well as entry into the Ketel One VIP Ice Lounge, ages 21+. (A portion of the proceeds will benefit the San Antonio Area Foundation and the SA Current’s Media Scholarship Fund, supporting local students pursuing degrees in journalism studies.)
To purchase tickets, visit www.SanAntonioSnowBall.com or the SA Current office at 915 Dallas St.
Thanks to our friends at the SACurrent though, readers like you have a chance to win a pair of tickets!
