3 Ways to Celebrate Dads
This post is sponsored by Michelob Ultra but the content and opinions expressed here are my own.
Want to plan something more meaningful for the Dad’s in your life, than which tie you’re going to gift them with this Father’s Day? Have I got something to help you get your creative juices flowing. 3 ways to celebrate Dads, even beyond Father’s Day.
Give the Gift of Time
Time is the simplest, and often, one of the best ways to show appreciation for anyone in your life. It not only helps them feel appreciated and loved because you took time out of your day, but it makes them feel like an important part of your life. So take time to actually sit with your dad and talk about life. Ask him about his childhood. Pull out old photos and albums. Even men of few words will open up if you show an interest in their life. You may even learn a thing or two you never knew.
Do Something Together
Unfortunately some Dads, like mine, are notorious for not being able to sit and talk. They’d rather be doing something or doing nothing and watching TV. So if your Dad is the same way, get him a gift that you can assemble together, or ask him to help you fix something. I know, I know. This goes against every sentiment shared in Father’s Day cards, but I’m not saying have him do it alone. Stay, help him break out the toolbox and ignore the directions with him. Working together forms a bond and makes him feel needed, while letting you learn a little something something from him. Win, win.
If your father is an avid tailgater, golfer, hunter, you name it, plan an outing for them. Make sure it’s somewhere where they’ll have a great time, and take care of all the details, including upgrading any of the gear they’ll need and/or want. If you have an #ULTRADAD in your life like I do, consider adding in a few of these Michelob ULTRA accessories to his gear. You can shop for them here.
If you have a homebody on your hands, no worries. They say that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Surprise him with his favorite meal and his favorite drink – an ice cold Michelob ULTRA. Better yet, cook with him. If the Dads in your life are grill masters like they are in mine, hang out in the backyard or at a tailgate with them and toast to their grilling abilities.
Making memories through experiences like this last a lifetime. Plus the fact that you cared enough to plan something makes them feel loved and appreciated, which is what it’s all about. The key is to not only gift them the gear they’ve been wanting, but to show them your love and appreciation in words and action. And what a better way to celebrate them than by being together. Everything is better together, especially with an ice cold Michelob ULTRA!
How will you be celebrating the #ULTRADAD in your life?
