Celebrating My Blogiversary By Sharing My Happiness Mantra + A Fab Giveaway!

OMG where has the time gone?  I just hit my 3rd year blogiversary!  How cool is that?  The best part is that it’s never felt like work thanks to fab readers like you and all the wonderful brands and fellow influencers I’ve met along the way.  As a result, I wanted to share my joy of it all with a happiness giveaway!

Blogiversary n Happiness Giveaway - yoursassyself.com

Happiness is what I strive for everyday.  While I have moments of fear and negativity that creep in from time to time, I generally start and end my day filled with happiness.  Many have asked me how I do that, so here’s my Happiness Mantra.

Happiness Mantra - yoursassyself.com

Wake up and go to sleep with gratitude.  As soon as I open my eyes I give thanks for another day, my home, my health, my furbabies, my family, my friends, etc.  Then before I fall asleep I again give thanks for it all, along with all the new things I was able to see and experience through out my day.

Surround yourself with positivity. And I mean literally surround yourself with positivity – from the people you choose to spend time with, to what you allow into your Facebook feed, into your TV viewing, radio listening, reading, etc.

People Gathered Talking - yoursassyself.com

Connect with others. I know we can sometimes feel too busy to go beyond our superficial hello, how are you doing conversations, but if you can make it a point to have at least one genuine conversation a day, where you get heard and you hear others in return, life becomes that much better.

Experience Nature.  I don’t know about you, but I am a much happier, energetic person after I’ve had a chance to see green spaces, feel the sun shine on my face and the wind blow in my hair.  It doesn’t have to be an all day event.  For me it can be as simple as my 10 minute walk from my car to my office or from my office to the gym.

Love Yourself.  Happiness and positivity will never become a permanent fixture if you share your love for everything and everyone, but allow your inner self talk to remain judgmental and negative about who you are, what you look like, etc.  I know how difficult it can be to quiet that inner talk, however to counter balance that, I make sure I’ve worked in things into my daily routine to love myself.  It can be something as luxurious as a spa day, or as simple as drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep, exercising, eating nourishing food, applying moisturizer and sun block to my skin. You get my drift.
