I love how easily my doggies have been embraced by everyone I know as familia (family). I guess it’s hard not to with how often I talk about them and share the special little things I do for them. From choosing the best food – like the new reformulated Purina Beneful Originals featuring meat as the #1 ingredient, with no sugar added, to creating at home entertainment via this DIY crinkle dog toy. Just a few of little things I do to show them they’re definitely top dogs in my book.
The best part is that their unconditional love can easily be won over with food, shelter, and lots of love. Heck, who’s can’t right? So I try to offer them the best. That’s why I was happy to learn that Purina Beneful Originals and IncrediBites had reformulated their recipes, based on customer feedback, to make sure meat is the #1 ingredient and that there is no sugar added. And upon further inspection of the Beneful Originals with Real Chicken, I was delighted to see that on top of including real chicken as the #1 ingredient, it’s accented with avocado, carrots & tomatoes. Aguacate (avocado)? Sold!
As a huge avo lover myself, how can I not share the same yummy goodness with my love?
And you can too! You can totally sign up for a free sample by clicking here and/or head to your neighborhood HEB or other grocery retailer to get your hands on Purina Beneful’s new formula.
But of course, once they’re bellies are full they need a little entertainment to get them through the day. Enter this easy DIY crinkle dog toy I learned to make at a recent doggy bday party.
Yes, I have friends that celebrate their pooches bday and I love them for it. The best part is that it’s made from everyday items you already have at home, including all those lonely socks you end up with after almost every laundry session.
Materials:
- sock or sleeve
- empty water bottle
- scissors
Directions:
Cut an opening into the sock’s toe area. (If you’re using a sleeve make sure you leave a few inches of fabric on both ends for knots.)
Place the empty water bottle inside the sock (sleeve) and center it, leaving enough fabric on both ends to tie the fabric snuggly around the bottle with knots.
Then cut strips on remaining fabric ends and tie knots on the strips.
This gives a little extra something, something for your doggie to chew on.
Easy peasy. Here’s a quick video to show you how.
Then just sit back and enjoy watching your doggy enjoy his toy on a nice full belly.
Which Purina Beneful flavors do you think your dog(s) will love?
