Woo hoo, let the holiday parties begin! I don’t know about you, but I love attending holiday parties. They are super festive, beautifully decorated, filled with delicious party food and loads of fun. A few of the ones I’ve been invited to have been of the potluck variety, which is totally ok with me because I always turn to this easy breezy Chipotle Hummus and it’s a hit every time, with it’s signature smoky, savory, TABASCO® flavor.
While I love making it out to all the holiday fun, I don’t like the idea or stress of having to spend hours and hours in the kitchen making something for everyone to enjoy. Don’t get me wrong, I love to cook and bake for friends and family, but to me holiday parties are more about spending time catching up and creating memories vs. something to stress about. It is because of this that I always have simple, tasty, and satisfying recipes in my back pocket – ready to be enjoyed.
Here’s what you’ll need for this easy, inexpensive, but absolutely, positively delicious chipotle hummus.
- 1 can garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Tahini sauce
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 clove garlic (best if roasted or sauteed)
- 2 tsp TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro for garnish
Combine beans, olive oil, tahini sauce, lemon juice, TABASCO® salt/pepper in food processor bowl.
Grind into a smooth paste. (Feel free to add in additional olive oil for desired consistency, or for a little more creaminess, add 1 tbsp of Greek yogurt.)
Serve with Naan bread, toasted pita triangles and/or raw vegetables.
As you can see, TABASCO® is a great way to add smoky, savory flavors to any dish, whether you’re using the TABASCO® Original Red, the Green Jalapeño Pepper, or the Chipotle flavored sauce I used in my recipe.
The best part is that they’re easily available at your neighborhood Walmart.
So add them to your shopping list and you’ll always have a versatile, flavor enhancer on hand.
What holiday recipes will you be infusing with the savory flavors of TABASCO® ?
