Have I mentioned how much my doggies and I love the freedom of the open road and exploring our city and beyond?

Dog Enjoying Car Ride - yoursassyself.com

Well we do, and since public transportation is not a real option here in Texas, especially with furbabies, I rely solely on my car to take me on my next adventure.  It’s for that reason that I make sure I take great care of my Foxy Roxy (yup, that’s what I named her).  Fitting don’t you think?

She takes me everywhere, from the normal everyday work, errands, etc., to various outdoor adventures with my doggies,

and gatherings with family and friends.

She also takes me on my much needed mind clearing drives, which allow me time to think and enjoy a fun outdoor spot.

All of those things are so important to me that I make sure I do everything I can to keep Foxy (my nickname for her) in tip top shape.  It’s because of this that I make sure to keep up on her car maintenance.  So anytime Foxy says it’s time for an oil change (yes she speaks to me), I know I can take her into Walmart to get lubed up with some Defy – a High Mileage Quaker State Motor Oil.  She’s not as young as she used to be so she needs the extra loving care only a high mileage oil can offer.

The best part is that since it’s getting taken care of at Walmart I know I’m getting only the best for my Foxy, while I get my shop on as I wait.

Not a bad situation to find myself in every few months.  It’s a great relationship really.  I do my part to keep her happy and healthy and she does her part to keep me happy, trekking through life on the open road.

How does Quaker State Oil from Walmart help you enjoy the freedom of the open road?

  1. I have the hardest time getting the head hanging out the window picture of my dogs. Your dogs are cuties and it sounds like Walmart was a good choice for you too

    • I probably took about 100 shots of our road trip with their heads hanging out. They love doing it and do it long enough for me to have several shots to choose from. Keep trying Harriet, it’s one of the cutest pics you’ll ever have of them.

  2. Ive always wondered what is it with dogs and their habit of sticking their head out to feel the breeze and often times drooling all over the sides of my door. haha.
