Mixing Old and New Pieces to Spruce Up The Patio
Thanks Big Lots for sponsoring this post. However, all thoughts and opinions about their fabulousness are my own.
It’s been a rough Spring for us here in Central Texas – with torrential rains and flooding for nearly three weeks – but I’m happy to report that just in time for summer, the sun is back in our forecast. So as I continue to prep for outdoor fun, I realized that after the storms and a squirrel attack, I needed to now focus on sprucing up my patio. The best part is that sprucing up spaces doesn’t always mean you have to get everything new. It can be as simple as mixing old and new pieces together to get the most bang for your buck.
Thanks to Big Lots, I knew I’d be able to find everything I was envisioning, without breaking the bank. See earlier this year, a not so friendly neighborhood squirrel decided he needed to take apart my patio chairs to make himself a nice, comfy nest. He took apart my patio chair cushions and began taking some of the chair weaving, which started to make the patio set not look so great.
Couple that with the storms and debris from falling branches, etc. and this is what I found myself with this week. Totally not inviting.
Thankfully the table was still in good shape,
so I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to mix old and new together. So out I went to Big Lots to see what they had and I feel in love with their folding sling chairs. They were in line with the the chairs I had before, were super comfortable, sturdy,
and offered the portability of being able to take them on on the go and/or store them indoors, away from squirrels and weather.
Win, win for this chica. So I put it all together and added my new folding chairs to my existing patio table,
mixed in some of my summer decor, placemats and dinner ware and just like that, my patio was again summer ready.
So if you’re excited about bringing a new look to your outdoor spaces, head on over to Big Lots to see what fab finds you can bring home to make everything look shiny and new.
