Beauty is one of the most subjective things there is. What is beautiful to one, may not be to another. It is because of this that I think we need to not worry about that as much as we should about making sure our mind, body and soul magnify our natural beauty throughout. Last year I focused a lot on getting my mind and soul in check. This year it’s about having my body reflect the happiness I feel inside. It is because of this that this year is not only about trying to get my muscle mass and bone density to a better place, but I’m also working on getting my largest organ in check – my skin. That’s why I wanted to share my Nu Skin Galvanic Spa review.
Aging can be a scary thing for many, but the truth is it’s a natural process of life. The trick is to not just sit back and let it happen. Just like we try to eat healthy and work out to keep our bodies healthy and toned, we can do the same for the skin. And the greatness about it all is that there are many things we can do ourselves, without having to turn to costly and sometimes dangerous cosmetic procedures.
Enter my personal skin expert, April Mae Monterrosa – owner of The Lil Spa Room & Shine Beautifully Blog. The last time I visited her for a facial at The Lil Spa Room, she introduced me to the Nu Skin Galvanic Spa – an at home skin care device that serves as a mini iron to help smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. She stated that its gentle galvanic currents helped refresh and energize the skin in less than 10 minutes and challenged me to try it for myself for the next 30 days to see if it worked.
I must confess, it took me a while to get a handle on the proper, most effective way to hold the device once I got it home, but once I got it, I found it super easy to use and glide through out my face and neck.
The device came with two gels. A pre-treatment gel and a treatment gel.
The pre-treatment gel is used on the 1 setting, which is negatively charged, allowing the gel to bind to impurities deep in the skin. Once massaged into the skin, you rinse off and prepare for the next step.
The treatment gel is then applied and used on the 2 setting, which is positively charged, allowing the gel to attract the remaining negatively-charged impurities from the pre-treatment cycle. This leaves the skin radiant and ready for you to apply your serums and lotions as usual.
After a month, all I can say is that my Mom commented on how radiant my skin looked over the Holidays and based on my before and after pics with the same makeup and camera (without filters or editing), I agree it looks more even and fresher than it was before.

So check it out and try it for yourself to see what results you get at home. And if you’re in San Antonio, drop by The Lil Spa Room for your own Galvanic Spa Facial to try it out.
What are you doing for your skin this year?
Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post but I was provided the Nu Skin Galvanic Spa for review. However, my love for the everything shared here is my own.

Nice job! You look great, my friend. 🙂
Thanks Ana, who knew? Love finding gadgets that work 😉
I love reading reviews because it helps me decide if it fits on me or not as well. I mean, like when I’m buying a beauty product, I make sure that people are talking good thing about it first before I try it. Or any kind of service I want to try, as much as possible, I want to read reviews about it so I can perfectly decide better. Thanks for sharing your post and making us realize about reading and having reviews of the product or company we want to patronize.
Totally!
