Today in Oprah and Deepak’s 21-day meditation experience, we continue finding our flow through self-expression, which I use on often in writing this blog and dancing (oh how I love to dance). 😉
Basically it’s asking that instead of going through life living in fear, feeling unworthy, and any other number of negative emotions, that we take time to observe, acknowledge, and shift these old emotional patterns, by allowing our pure voice, which is simple, kind, understanding, and appreciative, to share our true self with the world in thought, speech, and action.
It’s about doing things for yourself, without caring what the outside world may think about you doing x,y,or z.
Once you’re able to let go, you’re able to start tuning into your intuition, vs. ignoring it as so many of us do. I know I’ve ignored it in my personal life for over 20 yrs., but now that I’m connected to my true self, I hope to continue to break that habit.
So what is intuition? It’s that gut feeling you have when you meet someone and automatically know they’re not your kind of people, or when you skip the short cut through a dark ally because you feel you should. It’s that internal wisdom, that seems to come our of no where, based on nothing, but propels you to act. Unfortunately, when we let our mind get cluttered and choose to believe our EGO vs. our true self, intuition goes out the door.
So, find some time today to sit in the stillness of meditation, listen, awaken and invite this shift into your life. Hopefully at the end, or as you continue to practice meditation (practice is what’s helped me), you’ll be able to clearly see where you’re going and discover your true purpose.
How do you express yourself and keep in tune with your intuition?
