I don’t know about you, but I grew up with Palmolive being on my Abuelas’ (Grandmothers), Tias’ (Aunts) and Mom’s sink. They only trusted Palmolive to be “tough on grease and soft on hands”; and it’s great to see that it still does an amazing job at doing that, along with being a dish soap with various uses! #Palmolive25Ways
Palmolive’s trademark of being ¨tough on grease, but soft on hands¨ is no joke. It’s also the main reason it works great at cleaning almost everything you can think of.
I was surprised when my vet suggested I use Palmolive to wash my dogs, at least once a month, during the height of flea season. Apparently its innate grease fighting action does a number on the flea’s exoskeleton, killing them on contact.
Make sure you rinse your dog thoroughly though to keep it from irritating your fur baby’s skin. 😉
Did you know it also has the same effect on ants, wasps, cockroaches and basically any insect you can think of? Well it does! All you have to do is mix one teaspoon into a 16 oz spray bottle filled with water and you have a non-toxic solution. 😀
To keep your indoor plants from getting a pesky insect infestation, all you have to do is spray them down with this mix and it will keep your plants insect free.
But wait, there’s more. If your lawn ever gets over run with weeds, all you need to do is squirt some of this fabulous dish soap into a spray bottle, add 1/2 cup of salt, add enough vinegar to fill the rest of the bottle, shake, and you have another non-toxic solution.
Please be aware that this potent mix will kill any plant life you spray it on, so make sure you aim accordingly.
Despite all its power though, I’m happy to report that after an afternoon of battling kitchen grease and fighting the good fight against weeds and creepy crawlers, my clear nail polish was still there and my hands were still soft. Now that’s the Palmolive I know and love. 😀
