Earlier this month I had the pleasure of kicking off my 2nd Blogiversary month at Hispanicize, the place where it all began. This is my 3rd year attending this fabulous conference and it was after attending the first one in 2012, that I launched Your Sassy Self. It is because of this that Hispanicize has a special place in my heart, however P&G took a little chunk for itself this year. 😉
Why you ask? Because they not only showcased their brilliant products (COVERGIRL, Gain, Crest, Swiffer, etc.) in a fab VIP suite,
but they highlighted the diversity of the Latina woman throughout their product line and in having Orgullosa host Latinovator Maria Hinojosa (interviewed by the equally fab Maria Elena Salinas)
and in presenting The Nueva Latina Monologues by Linda Nieves-Powell.
Which by the way, if you like Orgullosa on Facebook this month, each like will result in a $1 being donated to the Hispanic Scholarship Foundation. Pretty cool no?
These things combined are what made me grin ear to ear, proud to be a continuing supporter of everything P&G.
To add to my love affair, I was honored to get my glam on with COVERGIRL and celebrity makeup artist Mariela Bagnato. She gave us easy to use tips in choosing the best #truBlend foundation for our skin.
It turns out my color is l7 with the option of using d2 to contour and it worked perfectly, don’t you think?
Then the following day I received more make up tips from Aileen Quintana, another celebrity make up artist, who showed me that adding another layer of truBlend under my eyes would eliminate the need for concealer, while doing a bang up job of covering up my dark under eye circles, which I’m all for.
When I asked her for celebrity secrets to staying young, she said use COVERGIRL, drink lots of water and use face yoga to keep wrinkles in check. As you know, I’m all about natural ways to deal with everything, including aging. While I’m a newbie at this version of yoga, here’s a video I found that you may like.
The VIP treatment continued when we were invited to attend the P&G Mañanita Breakfast to hear Irma Martinez share fashion trends for the gym and then get our Angry Zumba (mix of kickboxing and zumba) on.
Now that our minds, face and body were on point, it was time for Gain to bring on the musica via #MusicaParaTuNariz. We saw everyone from Magazine Society to
Rigu to
Delpaxton, El Chevo, Renzo, Los Rakas y La Santa Cecilia.
I tell you P&G rocked Hispz14. Can’t wait to see what P&G brings to HIspz15!
