Strawberry S’mores, With A Kick

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post, but I was provided the Hershey’s S’mores Prize Pack, along with a another pack to giveaway to one of my lucky readers. However all views and opinions about the yumminess are strictly my own.

It’s funny, but now that my nieces and nephews know about s’mores, anytime we have outdoor outings, they have to end with s’mores.  It’s not a bad thing really.  Nothing says family time than ending with a warm, yummy, gooey dessert, but as adults with a more varied palette, I like to dress up my s’mores so we all enjoy.  Enter my newest creation – Strawberry S’mores with a Kick. 😉

Strawberry Smore With A

If you’ve never added sliced strawberries to the standard s’more combo of marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers, you’ve been missing out.  Trust me, it will be hard to go back to the old standard recipe once you give this a try.  En serio (Really)!

Here’s what you’ll need to build the kid friendly & the grown up version of strawberry s’mores:

Strawberry Smores

1 box of Honey Maid graham crackers

1 bag of large Jet-Puffed marshmallows

Hershey’s chocolate bars

1 pint of strawberries cut into slices

1 bottle of your favorite red wine (or white if red isn’t your thing)

As you preheat your oven or get the fire going, begin slicing your strawberries and make two piles, one for the kid friendly s’mores and one to dunk into your favorite red wine (or white) for the grown up s’mores recipe.  Once you have your reserve, add as many as you can into a glass of red wine (this just makes it easy to drink your strawberry infused wine once the berries have been added to the s’more 😉 ). The reason I tend to go for red wine is because it goes so well with chocolate, but white will work just fine. :D.

Let them soak for 15-30 minutes ( you can let them soak longer if you don’t mind having a soggy cracker when you bite in 😉 ).

Once your heat source is ready to create the yummy gooeyness, then begin building your s’mores.  This prize pack came with a nifty S’more to Love Grill Basket, so we were able to build several at once.  The video shows the making of the grown up/wine infused version, but same process applies for building the kid version. 😀

Allow it to stay on the heat source long enough to create your melted concoction and now everyone can enjoy they’re very own version of strawberry s’mores!
