School’s out and summer is officially here, now what? Why not pack up the family and cool down this summer at Splashtown? We did, and with over 50 rides and attractions, it’s easy to find something for everyone!
The kids loved getting their feet wet with these beginner slides at Splash Island, Crystal Falls and the Sand Castle.
Then we headed to the always fun Wave Pool, where you can either ride the wave on a tube, solo, or just sit on a lounge chair and get some sun.
Once the kids hit their first lull, we headed to the Siesta Del Rio for a quick chill sesh,
before we headed to our lovely cabana for a quick rest and meal.
Did you know that when you rent a large cabana (which accommodates up to 12 guests) you get 1 souvenir beach towel and a bucket with 6 iced bottled waters? The waters were a welcomed site through out our day. Plus you also get a storage chest for personal items and hostess service. Pretty cool!
But you don’t necessarily need a cabana. There are several concession stands where you can grab a quick bite, and they have plenty of seating, including lounge chairs, picnic tables,
along with lockers for you to store your stuff.
They even have party packages if you want to celebrate a birthday or other special occasions.
Once everyone was rested and the kids felt more confident about what to expect from a water slide, we headed to the bigger slides, stopping first at the life vest tree to get one on my nephew.
My sister and I love that they have these available for free, in various sizes, along with life guards at every turn. With this safety and so much variety, it’s easy to see how this is a great summer family destination. They even offer Dive-In Movies – how cool is that? So what are you waiting for? Cool down this summer at Splashtown.
