Supporting Save the Children® Just Got Easier

If you follow along, you know that nothing fills my heart more than giving back. That’s why I continuously share various ways you can easily give back, that fit nicely into your lifestyle and budget.  This year’s no different.  After all the spending frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, comes Giving Tuesday – a day to celebrate generosity and give to your favorite charity and/or cause.  And this year JOHNSON’S® has made it easier.  Anytime you donate a photo and select Save the Children® as the beneficiary, using the Donate a Photo app, JOHNSON’S® will triple its donation in support of their early childhood education programs through the Holiday Season.  Yes, if you have time to share a photo on social media, then you have everything you need to give back and make a difference.  How cool is that?

Why early childhood education?  Because every day millions of babies miss opportunities critical to growth and development due to poverty, lack of early stimulation, poor health/nutrition, and lack of early education.  This often leads children from low-income families to be 18 months developmentally behind their peers and ups their risk of falling so far behind that they can never catch up.  Through its programs however, Save the Children® provides support to 300,000 U.S children in need, and JOHNSON’S® shares in this mission to make a positive impact on baby’s cognitive, social, and emotional development.  In fact, in collaboration with JOHNSON’S® scientists, Save the Children® educational experts are utilizing their input and advice to create a holistic approach, integrating health and science, to create an evidence-based toolkit that can be adaptable to local settings and help support the happy, healthy development of babies.  See for yourself and hear more about Save the Children’s early childhood development programs and the families who are benefitting from them.

As you can see, JOHNSON’S® and Save the Children® are mutually committed to igniting a social movement and bringing awareness to the importance of early childhood development (ECD) programs. And you and your family can join in and show how you stand up for children who need access to critical education programs, by sharing this video, which showcases the stories of families whose lives were changed forever when their children were given an equal start in life.  Then head over to the Donate a Photo app, select Save the Children® like we did, donate a photo, and JOHNSON’S® will triple its donation in support of early childhood education programs.

Super easy right? I told you it would be and it’s definitely a great way to kick off this year’s #GivingTuesday don’t you think?

    • Isn’t it! And I totally agree Julie, we should always find a way to give back everyday, which is why I always suggest that we at least make it a practice to give back a smile, a compliment, or a hug to those we love or to complete strangers. It does so much to change and cost so little 😉
