There’s Nothing Like A Nice Sunday Drive

Thanks Strong Automotive and Toyota of Boerne for sponsoring this post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you follow along you know that I’m all about doing good.  Doing good for yourself, others and the environment.  And with all the travel and fun being had this summer, it’s nice to know that Toyota of Boerne has a tax free lease offer available until August 3rd  on their Toyota Prius.  Whether you’re traveling for miles and miles or hitting up one of your Sunday drive favs – the Prius will not only get you there in style, but with a little extra change in your pocket.

Hybrids are the bomb diggity and the perfect option for all your travel fun.  But you don’t need to wait for an extended vacation to hit the open road.  Do what I do and take advantage of a leisurely Sunday drive to explore your city and/or neighboring towns.  Here are a few of my favs.

The first two are iconic Texas stops, especially if you love country music.

Luckenbach, Texas – made famous by Waylon Jennings,

is small enough that if you blink you might miss it, but offers so much history, great country music and nostalgia that you have to visit it at least once.

Next is Gruene, Texas, made famous by Gruene Hall, which hosts many up and coming and established artists and has hosted various celebrities, who’s pictures you can find through out.

But beyond that, this quiet little town also offers tons of live music, a picturesque river, wine tasting, antique shopping and tons of great food.  Perfect for a Sunday Funday if you ask me.

And last is my personal fav – the Live Oak City Lake.  Mainly because it’s the closest park I have that offers a little bit of everything. You can fish off the pier or any one of their banks, get in a round of disk golf, or enjoy a nice picnic and/or feed the ducks.  Relaxation at it’s finest for the entire family.

Regardless of whether you choose to visit one of my favs or one of your own, just get out there, have fun and do it all in the style and comfort of your favorite ride.

  1. I have always wanted to ride in a hybrid to see what it was like. Looks like a fun day out! We did that last Sunday here, went and had breakfast out and then enjoyed nature and such, it was so nice to get out and unplug for a bit!

    • Agreed Kelsey, getting out an enjoying the sights and sounds of nature and all our beautiful surroundings does wonders for me. Happy you were able to do the same last Sunday! PS the Prius is such a nice, comfy, quiet ride – you need to at least test drive one to check it out 😀

  2. With gas being so expensive, I don’t just get out and drive like I used to. A hybrid would let me know the open road so much more easily.

    • Agreed Crystal! Being able to save on gas is a total motivator to getting out and explore the open road. And the Prius is such a great alternative, especially with that super sweet lease offer going on right now. 😉
