I don’t know how things have been going in your neck of the woods, but I got the stomach flu this past week and it was torture. Thankfully it wasn’t the ole Montezuma’s revenge you normally deal with, but it did come with a few days of fever and an overall food ban.
I know this isn’t the ideal way to help your body do the switch from craving fatty things but it has done wonders for me. 🙂 I’m always looking for the positive in everything and while it was no fun being home sick, dealing with fever and not being able to eat anything, it’s been interesting to see how my body reacts to slowly eating foods I was used to eating before.
My last week mainly consisted of a fruit and cracker diet until this past Friday, when I went home to visit family and was invited to a fish fry which I felt healthy enough to eat. Needless to say, my body was not ready and has not been ready for any kind of fried or fast food related foods. Unfortunately I can do sweet and salty, but fried and fatty seem to currently be off the table.
Here’s hoping that my brain makes the shift my stomach has decided to make and helps keep me on the fried/fatty food ban to help in my weight loss journey to better health 🙂
Do you get cravings for food or is food only fuel for you? What have you found are good ways to minimize food cravings?
